App menu opens without opening Asana fully
Paula here with Tessera Virtual Business Solutions. Today, I’m going to be showing you how to use the Asana app on your mobile device. So as you see here in the bottom corner, if I touch my Asana app and hold it for just a couple of seconds, it will bring up a menu.
Four options on the app menu
And you can see here in the menu, we have new tasks. That’s simply where it’ll bring up the screen to give you a new task. You can add new task with photo, which I happen to love that feature. It allows you to take a quick photo of whatever you need to do, whatever you see in front of you that is reminding you to do something. For me, it’s quotes, sometimes that I’m reading from a book that I want to process later.
You could also go to your inbox in your Asana workspace and take you to what you need to see there. And then also just search your Assana database as well.
Simply add tasks to Asana on mobile
So I’m just going to click on “new task” here at the bottom. It’s going to bring up a screen that gives me an option to assign something to myself.
I can also change that to be assigned to someone else, but if I just type in the task name I need, I can change the person assigned or I can leave it as myself. I will add then a due date. I can add a description as well.
And I can add it to a project and I can even add subtasks if I want. And you can also add, attachments, a photo, other things that you can add. And then once you click create it automatically goes into your recently assigned tasks. Then it’s there for you to add, to make changes, to move it to another section on your, my tasks list.
And that’s it. Super easy to use. It’s been a huge time-saver for me and I hope it will be the same for you.
Have you heard about the Frustration to Focus mini-course? It’s FREE, and it will give you a way to capture and track all those commitments you’ve made so you can remember to do what you said you would do!
